An exchange of roles between Davide Diamantini and Matteo Ugolini: the two creators enjoyed “stripping down" each other's identity in order to put themselves into each other’s shoes. The result of this fun double interview was a role playing game that revealed unknown aspects of Davide and Matteo.

What did you think the first time you saw him?
D: His appearance made me immediately think of Johnny Depp, so I thought: I wonder if we, together, we can find Neverland!
M: He looks nice, I hope I’m not wrong. Raul Bova without hair!
If you were to land on a desert island, what is the thing you wouldn’t give up for anything in the world?
D: One of our Karman t-shirts
M: A Karman lamp in the hut that I would build and a Karman event with indigenous people
What is the phrase he says the most often?
D: Now I’m going to come up with an idea!
M: Matti, this year we have to “take on the world”!
One thing that you really envy about him?
M: Can I tell you two? His creativity and his thick head of hair
D: When it rains and there is humidity, his hair doesn’t get curly!
His favourite dish?
D: He never skips the final dessert
M: Crostuovo, and if you do not know what it is ... come and visit us in our region
Which city represents him the best?
D: When I think of Matteo, I don’t think of a big city or a metropolis. Not to make him seem provincial, but simply Matteo’s spirit and soul better identify themselves in a romantic village surrounded by nature. It’s no coincidence that he lives in Urbino
M: Surely one with the sea and people who are always active. Maybe Formentera
Would you go on vacation together? Where?
D: Absolutely. I think Matteo is a very fun person to spend time with in any place, but since I'm a lover of the sea, I would suggest Formentera.
M: Absolutely yes, I would say in Formentera
His ideal of beauty?
D: For Matteo, beauty is a symbol of spontaneity, showing itself without frills or superstructures. In a woman, beauty is soap and water. In nature, a sunrise or a wonderful sunset
M: Like our lamps, a beauty that excites, but always with a bit of irony

M: The owl Ti.Vedo

D: The Marnìn moose
One thing that makes him really mad?
D: Probably my one thousand daily phone calls!
M: The timing of bureaucracy, when he cannot wait to see something beautiful achieved that enhances his company
If Matteo, for one day, were to put himself in the shoes of the seller instead of the designer, how would he do?
D: Matteo is a very sincere person and this shines through in a clear manner being in direct contact with others. For this, he inspires confidence in people who certainly would have no difficulty in buying from him
If David were to design a lamp what would it look like?
M: First of all, we would need to decipher the design, having done that, it would surely be something interesting
Karman has already exceeded ten years of activity. In ten years how do you imagine it?
D: Ten years from now, I see Matteo as a person entirely dedicated to family and his passions. Actually, I hope that Karman is among these things because I think I can say that we both cultivate this work as a passion, taking advantage of our different qualities
M: Always with a new idea in my head and with the same energy and enthusiasm that shows through every time there is a new project
