The special prizes awarded to the winners of The Pesaro Doc Fest by Karman were TI.Vedo lamps, cute owls that throw away troubles, chosen to bring luck to the aspiring filmmaker. The final competition of short films, under the artistic direction of Luca Zingaretti, was held on June 26th and proclaimed "Masoumeh" by Sonia Moghaddamas as the best film, which is an exemplary film about the female condition which forces the viewers minds to reflect on the need for change.
The young documentary filmmakers Award Bcc Gradara was awarded to Francesco Agostini's documentary Berber Tajine, a carefully filmed documentary in which three young athletes show us, through their journey, the values of equality among people.
Karman as always stands out for its strong commitment to design and creativity, and it was natural to link its name to this prestigious international festival, now in its second edition, promoted and organized by The Cultural Association "Did you see that?" and presided over by Zingaretti. The films in competition have been produced all over the world and are characterized by careful analysis and reflection on social issues and current affairs.
The purpose of the event is to promote and celebrate the documentary genre, which today represents a real in-depth analysis of the news, in a time when the speed of information is increasing more at the expense of content.
Many people took part in the final awards on June 26th: the winners were chosen by an expert jury composed by the actors Vinicio Marchioni and Valeria Militello, journalists Olivia Tassara and Marco Damilano and documentary filmmaker Marco Spagnoli. The prizes offered by Karman confirm the strong identity of the company in Fossombrone, founded ten years ago by Davide Diamantini, which aims to mix Made in Italy materials and theories and inspiration and creativity, always with humor and a curious gaze towards the unpredictability of events, with the lightness of intuition, the ability to create and excitement in being amazed.
