If you are a true design lover, one of your favourite hobbies is probably searching for events, fairs and manifestations around Italy and Europe, where you can find new industry trends and marvel at the latest creations by the most talented artists.




We have selected the best Italian events of 2017, involving the vast world of design, decoration, interior design, novelty and home furnishings.

Let's start with the most important event, the Salone del Mobile in Milano from April 4 to 9, now in its 56th edition. About 2,000 exhibitors will occupy the upper exhibition area, which is more than 200,000 square meters. More than 300,000 visitors from more than 165 countries are expected. In addition to the International Furniture Fair, the exhibition of Furnishing Accessories, the biennial Euroluce and Workplace3.0 will be held in full synergy.

There are many months to visit Venice’s famous Biennale of Art, in its 57th edition, from May 13 to November 26 to be exact, at the Giardini and the Arsenale. The International Exhibition entitled "Viva arte viva" was curated by Christine Macel and offers an exhibition itinerary, which 120 artists from 51 countries have taken part in. During the exhibition, related events to other areas of the Biennale are planned: in June, the International Festival of Contemporary Dance, in July and August the 45th International Theatre Festival, in late August the 74th International Film Festival and in October the 61st International Festival of Contemporary Music.




From April 21 to 25, the sixth edition of Maison&loisir, the Salone dell’Abitare in Aosta will be held in a strategic area, at the crossroads between Switzerland, Italy and France, where one can find new products in the international arena and participate in workshops on techniques and materials and architecture and engineering conferences, including shows and concerts organised in the evening.

In Bologna, September 25 to 29, Cersaie, the international exhibition of ceramics for architecture and bathroom furnishings will take place. The event is now in its 35th edition and annually attracts over 100,000 visitors, half of which are from foreign countries.

In Rome, from October 28 to November 5, the 43rd exhibition of furniture and design Moacasa will take place and you’ll be able to discover new trends and innovation for every room.
