Design Matteo Ugolini. After a long days harvesting, the grapes, heaped into a tub, would be pressed by the light of a candle, placed on the bottom of a barrel. The candle served to light up the cellar but also to warn in the event that the gases released while the must was fermenting passed the danger levels.
This memory, linked to our tradition, is the inspiration for Bacco, the rechargeable table lamp, shaped like a wine bottle, and designed by Matteo Ugolini to create a soft atmosphere while enjoying a nice bottle of fine wine. The white frosted glass shade conceals a 250-lumen LED on a removable base in aluminium that houses the on/off switch and the charging mechanism. In groups of six, Bacco can be carried anywhere in its metal basket, Perbacco, with the vintage feel of the tin baskets of the past. Place one on the tables in your bar or restaurant; scatter them here and there or move them about as you wish. Bacco is cordless and once charged, has a 6-hour autonomy.
