The important thing is to get out of the house and take advantage of the unexpected four day holiday (not for everyone, unfortunately), to disconnect and visit new places, then return to work regenerated...at least until Christmas!

Cosplay and comics in Lucca

It’s really worth it to visit Lucca from October 28 to November 1, where they are marking the occasion of 50 years of the most important comic festival in Italy, "Lucca comics & games". It will be a special edition, full of exhibitions, meetings, and authors coming from all over the world. For half a century, the comic event has been renewed and over time it has been receptive to other forms of culture, entertainment and lifestyle: the board game world, fantastic illustration, acronyms and TV series, cosplay, movies, home videos, video games.

Open oil mills in Umbria

The launch of the 19th edition of the event celebrates oil throughout the Umbria region, this year from October 29 to November 27. There are five weekend proposals in the countryside to visit medieval villages, farms, museums and of course the local oil mills, where the milling and extraction of precious liquid takes place. Everyone will have the opportunity to attend traditional music concerts in the squares, to engage children and adults in popular games, to learn to discover and recognise the true flavour of DOP extra virgin olive oil and other products from Umbria and to walk among the olive trees, castles, abbeys and farms. The municipalities involved are Assisi, Bettona, Campello sul Clitunno, Castiglione del Lago, Foligno, Giano dell’Umbria, Gualdo Cattaneo, Magione, Narni, Passignano sul Trasimeno, Spello and Trevi.

David Bowie exhibition in Bologna

There is always a great excuse to visit Bologna, and this time the unmissable event is the retrospective David Bowie Is at Mambo (until November 13), dedicated to the career of the White Duke; the only and final Italian stop-over of a European tour that brought 1.4 million visitors to London. At Castrocaro, hunting for mysteries on Halloween night

For Halloween night, the castle of Castrocaro (Forlì) will be filled with mystery and will have special guided tours with a medieval theme late into the night. Margherita, Jacopa, Claradia, Bonifacio, Achille and Apollonia are just some of the personae from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance who spent time at the castle and who may choose to manifest themselves in the form of ghosts. Marina Abramovic and other extraordinary women in Bergamo

40 international artists, protagonists of contemporary art, will exhibit their work at the Specchio Concave exhibition, which will also include photography and video art.
