PEOPLE RETURN TO THE CENTRE IN TAHITI

Mythical is the only word that truly describes and does justice to the beauty of Bora Bora, with the prehistoric magnificence of Mount Otemanu, which dominates the lagoon surrounded by the coral reef.

Tahiti’s Minister of Tourism believes that images of the chalets lining the beach built in the 1960s are no longer enough to promote the island. So a new campaign has been launched to reveal a richer history and showcase the diversity that this location has to offer.

A new message far from the classic icons

Paul Sloan, managing director and general manager of Tahiti Tourisme, explains in an interview he gave to Skift (an important trade magazine for the travel industry): "From our research, we discovered that people initially come to Tahiti for the picture-postcard beaches, but they soon discover that the islands of Tahiti are made special by the people who live there and the age-old culture that has made them who they are."
