The “Peter Brunel” Restaurant Project

Posted On 9 September 2020

The “Peter Brunel” restaurant is an elegant villa surrounded by the greenery of Arco, a few kilometers from Lake Garda. This location is full of personality and style and is set in a suggestive and idyllic environment. It was designed to blend a culinary and aesthetic experience into a single path.

The restaurant’s style highlights the taste and character of chef Peter Brunel, who wanted to attend to the restaurant's atmosphere in detail, even devoting himself to designing some of the furnishings.

The restaurant takes up about two hundred square meters and is designed as a large apartment: it is designed specifically to accommodate guests in the best possible way and accompany them along a specific path through different spaces.

The interiors have a different and daring concept but remain interconnected by a subtle stylistic continuity made up of furniture details and creatively designed light sources.

It is precisely in the lighting project that the unmistakable style of the Karman lamps can be recognized. These lamps scatter light throughout the room’s main areas and add a decorative touch that completes the interior settings of the “Peter Brunel” Restaurant.

Karman lamps elegantly decorate the interior of the “Peter Brunel” Restaurant

The restaurant is divided into different spaces designed to host different gastronomic moments: from the welcome drink to the after-dinner drinks. The rooms play their own role and have their own stylistic identity but remain connected in terms of space given the absence of doors and dividers.

The “Peter Brunel” Restaurant is inspired by D'Annunzio's concept of "pleasure" and the Vittoriale: a suggestion that is realized in the diamond pattern of the open kitchen, as well as in the precious oil-colored fabrics of the seating or in the marble flair that makes the environment more austere and sophisticated.

In these splendid settings, the Karman lamps stand out: each with a different soul, but capable of completing the interior decoration. We find:

Let's discover the technical-aesthetic characteristics of each one.

Amarcord

It is impossible not to notice Amarcord: a wall lamp with a simple and graceful design, but with a great suggestive charge.

Designed by Matteo Ugolini, this applique solution is characterized by a transparent glass diffuser and white concrete base.

It gives accent light points and decorates the wall, blending perfectly with the furnishing context.

Black Out

A lampshade made with white fiberglass wire and a white ceramic candle holder: Black Out by Matteo Ugolini is a suspension lamp with a modern concept and a minimal soul.

These two stylistic features make this solution extremely versatile and suitable for decorating any environment. The fiberglass wire allows the light to escape from the small holes, creating ever-changing kaleidoscopic light designs.

Inside the restaurant, it is located in one of the dining rooms overlooking the external courtyard.

Le Pupette

The thick and material silhouette of one of Le Pupette stands out gracefully in the “Peter Brunel” dining room. It is an elegant suspension by Edmondo Testaguzza.

Stripped of the lampshade, the white ceramic structure blends with the scenery and, at the same time, makes the lamp stand out within the environment, providing classy decoration and clear and well-distributed lighting in the lunch area.

Snoob

A total white suspension arm with a clean and sinuous profile stands out majestically in the small sober and welcoming restaurant lounge.

Snoob, designed by Matteo Ugolini, with its white lacquered aluminum structure, echoes the design of the ancient chandeliers in a modern key, rising in the center of the ceiling with elegant grandeur.+

Wow!

Wow! is the expression of wonder par excellence and is the name of one of Matteo Ugolini's creations.

Wow! evokes the classic sketch of a magician pulling a white bunny out of a hat: it is an evocative lamp that amazes and always entertains.

The lampshade in white linen and cotton and the accessory in matt white ceramic, this suspension lamp lights up a small round conversation table.
