FINBED: DECIDE ON THE BEST PRICE

All hotels have rooms that remain empty, even in high season. That is why we are now literally invaded by online operators proposing to cancel and rebook rooms, with offers and discounts on the rooms left empty. It is a valid system, but is it the best? The Polish startup, Finbed, has tried to offer a solution with a proposal that is as simple as it is innovative. Finbed turns the booking process on its head; users define the ideal rate and hoteliers decide whether to accept it or not.

To do this, you just fill in a form with the date of the stay, any requests and finally the price that you are prepared to pay per night. Once the email address has been confirmed, Finbed will find the best solution and in the space of three hours will send an email. The process is concluded by contacting the hotel that accepted the proposal and completing the booking.

We have already seen many other services use this business model, such as taxis, private jets and much more. Now it is the turn of the hotel industry; the question that has to be asked is: how many other industries can apply this model in the future?
